The  Combie Reservoir Sediment & Mercury Removal Project ---- This is an informative and interesting film

showing the different aspects of The Combie Reservoir Sediment & Mercury Removal Project by NID. This is a very

important project to watch because it shows just how much the legacy of Hydraulic Gold Mining is affecting our

environment today in different ways. You are able to watch actual mercury being extracted from just a small amount of dirt

and put into a jar!! Enough to swirl around and look at!! Unbelievable!!! NID was great to work with and their efforts to educate

people about the dangers of Mercury in the watershed and ways to deal with it are impressive...

This was a very informative shoot and i got to meet a lot of cool and very professional people.

Private Meadows In The Sierra Nevada---- This film explores private meadows, meadow habitat and private landowner uses in the Sierra Nevada. This was another really interesting subject

to be involved with. I learned a lot about meadows and how important they really are to our basic lives. They filter E-Coli out of the wathershed!! I got muddy and wet and fell in a lot of creeks

and saw lots of animals out in those meadows. It was fun and I am lucky to be able to work on this sort of project.

The Golden Gate Saloon ----This was a fun project to do. For years I had been having a vision of the past and the present meeting in the Saloon and people having a great time no matter the year.

I pitched my idea, the owners went for it and I was able to get the actors to all show up and shoot the ad. This was a very simple and effective piece as I believe it really struck a chord in anybody who had ever been there.

And made them want to come back and enjoy the timelessness of fun and friends. I was able to connect this "new way of advertising, on the web" to the local paper

and was able to convince a reporter to come on down and watch the fun. The attention the Hotel got from this two edged promotional event did make quite a difference

in the regard and the reminder that this was a great place..This ad has had thousands of views and definitely made an impact on anyone who saw it. Plus, I had fun the whole time

"The beleaguered Holbrooke Hotel has many fans, including local video producer John Munro, who thought it would be a shame if the inn's historic bar should close and become unavailable for shooters after a shoot.

So Munro rounded up some friends, asked them to don hats and hang out in the Golden Gate Saloon, considered the oldest (almost) continuously operating bar west of the Mississippi, and portray bar patrons for a commercial.

“We're trying to stir up business,” co-owner Jim O'Brien said. After editing his material, Munro expects the commercial to run about a minute.

He'll post it on YouTube, Facebook, on the Holbrooke's own Web site (Holbrooke.com) and elsewhere —

but mainly, it will be e-mailed to a 3,000-name client list to encourage repeat visitors, Munro said.

“The focus is 150 years of great service at the Golden Gate Saloon,” Munro said."

The Gray Goose---- What can I say?? The Best Store in the Northern Hemisphere. The owner is
totally cool and sizzling and has anything you could ever want or need in a gift for anybody. I mean anybody!!! Located in Nevada City
and with a new website as well, the Gray Goose is the place I go every time I need gifts or a card. I wanted this piece to be funky, fun
and with a "local cable" feel and heavy on local testimonials. It was fun to have the mayor drop in and the people i just grabbed out
of the store and filmed their real and unrehearsed testimonials. And the owner has been giving my dogs treats for years. They love to go visit.
